Original photography by Ernst Haas. Dye Transfer. Rare, he did a series of "Scratch" photographs around 1979 in Aspen Colorado. The images were taken at what is believed to be a car paint shop where the paints were spilled or liquified on the steel is was applied. This particular photograph is not in the Getty's image library or otherwise to be found elsewhere, however has been confirmed by the estate as being a Dye Transfer of the period. Signed by Ernst Haas to the mounting. This is an original. Previously the property of Former Governor of West Virginia who purchased it directly from the gallery in the early 1980's.
