In 1970 robert oberheim, from 1972 deputy head of product development, designed the combined slide viewer and slide projector. Formally in line with the d5 / d 6 devices by dieter rams, the d7 has a functional specialty: by turning the optics in the device, the slide can be viewed directly via the magnifying lens in the device.
