Man Ray photography of Georges Braque, 1930. A posthumous print from the original negative in 1977 by Pierre Gassmann. Gelatin silver bromide, framed on a 19th century frame with museum glass. Man Ray (1890-1976) was an American visual artist who spent most of his career in France. He was a significant contributor to the Dada and Surrealist movements, although his ties to each were informal. He was best known for his photography, and he was a renowned fashion and portrait photographer. Man Ray is also noted for his work with photograms. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution less
