Description: This sale is for a wonderful set of antique French candle sticks. They are nicely detailed with scalloped bases. They … more This sale is for a wonderful set of antique French candle sticks. They are nicely detailed with scalloped bases. They are solid cast sterling silver. They actually have a higher content of silver, at.949, than the normal.925. They each have a discharge mark of a side profile face to the bottom outer edges. There are 3 touch marks to The inside bottoms of each. With the discharge mark and the charge mark with the A-crown to bottom, date them to 1768-1774, and being from the Paris region of France. The other marks to the bottom are the maker that I did not figure out. I picture the marks to the bottom of each candle stick. They stand 10 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches at widest point to base. They weigh Approx. 30+ Troy ounces. They are in good condition With very slight bend to one base. less
