Ugo Cipriani, born in Florence in Italy 13 aug 1887, death in Paris on June 18, 1960, is an Italian sculptor.
Son of the Emilia Pancani Cipriano Sculptor, Ugo Cipriani Estle Fifth Child of a nine-sibling. It lies in the equartier of Oltrarno, at Borgo San Frediano.
After studies at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, Ugo Cipriani works marble, the terracotta, the bronze, the alabaster in the spirit of the Art Deco movement of the 1920s. One of its most famous works, A bronze monument (1919) of the Italian nationalist and irredentist Guglielmo Oberdan, is located on the place of the same name in Florence.
In 1935, Ugo Cipriani emigrated to France to escape the fascist regime of Mussolini. He lives in Paris as a political refugee and continues to create it until his death in 1960. Very prolific sculptor in France, some indices unveiled by his daughter Lydia and his son Gabriel suggest that he used pseudonyms like Menneville and Uriano. This piece has an attribution mark,
