We are delighted to offer this stunning fully restored Victorian hand dyed cigar brown leather Chesterfield tufted club sofa with feather filled cushions This sofa is as rare as they come, it’s a period original Victorian which is rare in itself however it has the fully sprung frame, what that means is instead of just having springs in the base it has sprung arms and back rests as well, they were a lot more expensive to make. The sofa has feather filled cushions which has been restuffed. It has the original Horsehair padding, the seat platform as mentioned is coil sprung, the legs mahogany, The leather has been fully restored to include a wash back hand dyed and seal so it’s ready for the next family, it is a little course in some places as its early hide, the woodwork has all been French polished. Dimensions Height:- 69cm can be increased approximately 5 cm if we add castors Width:- 183cm Depth:- 90cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
