At the base of the jug are pruned branches of the apple tree. The textured body of the jug is cream-colored, and the interior is covered in a mint green glaze. There is one shallow hairline in the interior glaze. The overall effect of the decoration is cheerful and a celebration of spring. It shows the Victorian respect of Nature. It is unsigned, but it was made in England between 1855 and 1875. less
