The outside is painted with quick blue flourishes.

The porcelain basin has a wide lip. The cut foot is unglazed and the base is glazed. There are no marks or labels.

MEASUREMENTS

11 ½” diameter x 3 3/8” deep. Weighs 2 lbs 13.0 oz (1275 g)

CONDITION

The bowl has no breaks, cracks, or chips; and it rings like a bell. The well has been restored. The glaze on approximately half the well has a brown tinge, as does the base. This glaze has less shine, as well. The cobalt used for the repairs matches the original very closely. There are customary kiln flaws like pin hole reserves, kiln grit and black spots and bumps.
