The Gateleg design feature, typical of drop-leaf tables of the period, supports the leaves and extends the table's width to 26.5". When the leaves are down, the narrow center of the table is 12" deep x 16.5" wide and 22" high. It was used as a table for tea service, games, and writing in Victorian times. In our current era, its versatile design makes it the perfect piece of furniture for everything from serving cocktails to enjoying tv dinners. Rarely does one find an antique of this quality in such pristine condition that is also functional for modern living and particularly suitable for small spaces. less
