Description: This is an Exceptionally Nice Early American Country Primitive Foot Warmer. Circa Late 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made … more This is an Exceptionally Nice Early American Country Primitive Foot Warmer. Circa Late 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made out of a type of Indigenous North American Wood that has been Stained to a Oxblood Red Color. It has a Hand Made Tin Box that is Decorated in the Classic American Pierced Style that includes Hearts. Note! that is has Internal Tongue Style Corner Joints that are Secured with Wedge Fastened Dowel Pegs that are Extensions of Individually Hand Lathe Turned Corner Posts. Also Note that No Glue was actually Needed with this Type of Construction. As Used the Tin Box would have been Filled with hot Fireplace Heated Stones. It is in Very Good Condition - Displays Nicely - No Damage - No Repairs.
I Purchased this Piece in the Central New Hampshire Region. Circa Mid 1800s. It is in Very Good Original Condition.
