"No Matter Where You Go" is an oil painting by Hudson Valley, New York artist, Monica Shulman. It is inspired by the Hudson River which the artist sees from her studio windows. This abstract expressionist oil painting is both sculptural and textural and recalls waves on the water at twilight when the moon is reflected on the river. The varying thickness of the paint and the use of line creates movement and depth.
Punctuating her rhythmic, gestural marks with varying shades of indigo, her favorite color, Monica creates a vivid, moody painting that will add dimension to any space.
