This innovative table lamp is based on Lauritzen's original studio wall lamp for Radiohuset, which indicated with a red or green light whether the studio was recording. This authorized re-edition from Louis Poulsen emits a warm, glare-free light; its glossy opal glass radiates a pleasant glow to its surroundings. Hand-crafted with careful attention to detail from the highest quality materials in Denmark.
Executed in hand-blown, triple-layered opaline glass and lacquered softly brushed brass.
Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the most significant architects in the history of Denmark; he was the trail-blazing figurehead of Danish functionalism. A number of his buildings represented the concentrated essence of contemporary life. In particular the Radiohuset building and the earliest version of Kastrup Airport – both listed today – are considered peerless monuments to modernism in the European genre of construction.
Available in unlimited quantities in three sizes and in choice of slightly brushed brass or black painted aluminum frame. Also available as a wall mounted version. This listing is for the smallest size table lamp in brass.
Accommodates 1x 5W T4/IF G9 LED bulb. UL listed. On/off switch on the 8.2' cord. Matching black cord for lamps with black frame; white cord for lamps with brass frame.
