- These gates are absolutely amazing. They were salvaged out of the secret Garden of the Rupert Murdoch estate. These gates … more These gates are absolutely amazing. They were salvaged out of the secret Garden of the Rupert Murdoch estate. These gates have so much history and so much detail to them. The home was an original Wallace Neff Design and was written into the original Wallace Neff book. We were able to salvage many things from the Murdoch estate along with a beautiful custom-made sundial that was also located out in the secret garden area. The gates are very heavy and solid and in good condition. We are not sure if the lien heads were part of the original design or if they were added on at a later date. They appear to be original and are very very old and heavy. They had come off during removal and were reattached by wiring them on to the surface. they can be attached to any location on the gates. The gates are still in the original frame with steel posts and they could easily be installed. The top of the frame has the most amazing decorative element with almost an arrowhead type feature giving it such a rich Gothic vibe. We try to include all of the detail in the photos. less
