Octagonal shape with a fitted, domed lid adorned with a ring finial, molded side handles, and a footed base. The piece is hand-painted with the region's traditional nature/hunting images dating back to the 17th century, including windmills, castles, horses, and deer against a scroll and leaf motif. Colors are soft hues of blues, browns, pinks, greens, and yellows. The bottom of tureen and underplate are signed by the artist. less
