The difference between the standard Palisander and the Oiled Palisander is that the latter is hand buffed with boiled linseed oil over the course of several days during certain times of the day (the standard version uses an oil-based lacquer spray.) This upgrade is offered by Herman Miller to resemble the look and feel of the vintage Eames Lounge Chairs in Brazilian Rosewood. This was the same process they used during the 1950s. The Oiled Palisander has a very matte finish and truly is "the top of the line" of the Eames Lounge Chairs.

This particular chair was produced in January of 2016 and has never really been used. It was used in a couple of open house home staging scenes. The Herman Miller medallion is located on both the chair and the ottoman. The leather is perfect with no tears, rips, or scratches. The veneer is also in excellent condition with no scratches, scuffs, dents or chipping. The color of this Palisander truly has the same look and feel of the old Brazilian Rosewood. It has one of the richest colors and patterns Ive seen in the Palisander. less
