Born 1906 - Died 1990
Educated in Winnipeg School of Fine Arts under Franz Johnson , L.L.FitzGerald
Exhibited at the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts , Montreal Art Association,
He won the Jessie Dow Prize for watercolour in 1932, 1934
Associate member of the Royal Academy of Art in 1936 , full member in 1971
Exhibited at Galerie , Walter Klinkhoff, Continental Gallery, Masters, Manuge, Wallack, Wallace and The Kennedy Gallery in New York.
Commissioned by Hudson’s Bay Co , Seagram’s to do many of their calendars
Claim to fame created the original Captain Morgan illustration that appears on the label of rum bottle.
“Always striving to bring nature to life” was his motto.
