A really fine looking estate rug obtained in a trade! Antique Persian tribal oriental gallery carpet. All natural dyes, very old and very collectible, circa 1900. All wool foundation. This rug is over 100 years old and as expected, not perfect. The rug is slightly crooked as seen. The pile is evenly worn for the most part, but with some lower areas that go to or near the foundation. In other words, a very low pile. There is some selvedge repair, a 4" slit at one end with loss around the slit (as shown) and small areas of foundation showing throughout. There is edge guard loss to one end only. Still, a very beautiful rug that is deserving of a good home. Perfect for that old country setting. Goes well with antiques and informal settings.
