A beautiful pair of polychrome porcelain cylinders, with bright enameled zoomorphic and foliate decoration in orange, rose, green and yellow on a striking and rare patterned ground color: cerulean blue. Quatrefoil piercings are spaced around the porcelain vessels. Ca. 1900, with blue under glaze character marks on the bottoms used during the Republic period. Fitted with glass inserts so they can work as vases. Very good condition.
