This dehua bowl is decorated with three applied raised prunus or flowering tree sprays with a single bird in each. The bowl is slightly warped as it is very thinly potted, but we believe it may be 18th century or 17th century. The bowl is very heavily repaired. The surface has been overpainted to conceal some of the best staple repairs we have ever seen, some photos showing the repairs only visible when lit.
