Description: An antique French ironstone tureen dating from the 1880s. It was manufactured by the Choisy le Roi ceramic company with … more An antique French ironstone tureen dating from the 1880s. It was manufactured by the Choisy le Roi ceramic company with an exclusive design for the Paris fine goods store E Bourgeois. The small serving dish has been decorated with a transferware pattern with hand painted accents of musical instruments, birds and flower garlands in pastel shades. It has an attached underplate and a domed lid with a small opening to rest a serving ladle. The underside has been stamped with the Bourgeois store's personalized label.
The small tureen is the perfect size for serving side dishes and vegetables. less
