The saint is represented kneeling while praying with the dog and the pilgrim hat alongside. The finesse of the carving the various polychromies and forged nails place this sculpture in the second half of the 18th century origin: France (1730/50) History tells: that while the saint lay died in a cave a Breton dog who had noticed him , helped him to heal him with a piece of stolen bread to the table of his rich master every day.
