Mid-Late 20th Century Wood and Tile Table Lamps - a Pair

I am … more This is an amazing, unique pair of mid century to late mid century (retro?) wood and tile lamps. I am not sure what the tile portion is made of, but the tile is inserted on each side of each lamp. The tile (maybe? acrylic?) has a beautiful leaf pattern in gold and orange colors -- see photos. I tried to capture their beauty but don't think I accomplished it.

Each has large decorative finials, and the lamps work to perfection. It appears one or both have been rewired during their life time since one has a turn knob on/off switch whereas the other has a push switch.

Considering their age, the wood and tile is in extraordinary condition - just enough patina to guarantee authenticity! I did note one flaw on one wood corner -- a tiny chip which showed the unstained white wood. I have a mixing colors paint kit and I placed a drop of matching paint on the tiny chip and I doubt you can notice it without feeling. I made a photo of this, and it is the last photo in the listing.

Each lamp stands about 32" to the top of the finial. Each wood base is just under 5 1/2" square. Each is quite heavy, and has felt underneath to keep them from scratching a wood surface. less
