This is antique porcelain Japanese (Meiji period) charger / platter. This is hand painted Imari in vibrant patterns and colors of ink blue, emerald, brick red and gold. This is hand made and a beautiful example of with the typical 6 vignettes surrounding the outer sides and finished with a round circular bordered design in the center. It is decorated in cherry blossoms, flying herons and small boat scenes. It is in excellent vintage condition, with one small chip on the base, that does not impact it's beauty or stability. They can be used as decoration or functionally as chargers under a dinner plate. This is not meant to serve food from. This is 12.50 in diameter and sit about 1.5 inches from the base. This has no watermarks. Period is Meiji (1868-1912).
