Description: Produced in Sapulpa, Oklahoma with locally sourced clay, this mid-century Frankoma Pottery serving dish is glazed in a gorgeous Prairie … more Produced in Sapulpa, Oklahoma with locally sourced clay, this mid-century Frankoma Pottery serving dish is glazed in a gorgeous Prairie Green-Rutile creating spectacular hues of green and golden brown. From the highly coveted Plainsman Dinnerware Collection, the clay used in this piece was sourced near Sapulpa and has a reddish hue. While typically used as a serving dish, it was marketed in the late 1950s as a flower bowl often used with a flower frog for arranging.

The warm colors and sturdy structure are excellent depictions of the Frankoma Pottery craftsmanship that is sure to last at least another 70 years. The bottom of the dish is stamped with “201” referencing the catalog style. The Prairie Green-Rutile glaze was used by Frankoma from 1939 to 1995.
