Commissioned by the South African Government, a set of six luncheon-size plates and a compote. Produced in the 1940's and displaying the South African old coat of arms in use from about 1910 up to 2000. The compote is 9 1/4 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall. The plates are about 9 1/2 inches in diameter. There is a repair at the base of the stem of the compote (see picture) but otherwise all pieces are in excellent condition. less
