Architect: Edward H. Bennett (English-American, 1874-1954). Bennett is best known for his work with Daniel Burnham on the 1909 Plan of Chicago. This Indiana limestone obelisk is from that project and was salvaged during a recent construction project along the Michigan Avenue Bridge that spans the Chicago River along Wacker Drive downtown. A similar obelisk is shown in the last photo, however this obelisk does not include the bronze lights of the original design.
