Fine eye catching Chinoiserie tray table made from bamboo with a hand painted black lacquer & gold rectangular tray. The base of this very nice piece is intricately hand made in the manner of the Aesthetic Movement.
The black lacquer tray is carefully painted in gold paint portraying a small village scene with very elaborate floral and scrolled borders, with flying butterflies.
The tray is formed with a square base which fits into the stand to hold it stable. Geometric side panels and a 'star' base stretcher, also features a decorative ring on each leg.
The result of this combination of styles (Aesthetic, Chinoiserie, Chippendale) is a gorgeous piece of furniture.
No markings visible markings.
Condition is excellent. When seen in person, this tray table is absolutely lovely and will not dissapoint.
