He learned the art of the woodcut under Allen Lewis and became a prominent print maker, known for his city scenes and historic barn woodcuts. He taught at Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY before becoming editor of American Artist magazine for 25 years. Unsigned with estate stamp verso. See less
