A pair of brass items that could be just whatnots for decorative purpose, but the closest guess is for them to be candle reflectors in the shape of diminutive tilt top tables
Similar in shape reflectors were common during the Georgian and Regency eras
What makes the presented here pair unique and rare is the beautifully embossed decoration on the tops. The reflectors usually have a smooth surface
The apes figural scenes on top are also quite interesting and unusual
Circa early/mid 19th century, England
