Description: This is an exquisite 19th century taupe tapestry chair boasting a touring couple in costume on the back of the … more This is an exquisite 19th century taupe tapestry chair boasting a touring couple in costume on the back of the seat. They are framed in scrollwork and elegant floral designs, all original to the piece. The outer edge of the back is trimmed in bronze upholstery tacks, which are all intact along either side. The seat is a grander bouquet framed in similar scrollwork and soft, muted color flowers. The arms also feature the floral design. The woodwork is all carved in beautiful smooth lines that accentuate the feminine curves of this treasure.

Please note that the upholstery is an antique, and should only be professionally cleaned by those versed in this type of care. That being stated, there are light stains throughout, with a small dark blemish on the front left side (when seated)((pictured)). I have tried to be as accurate as possible with photography, but nothing distracts from the refinement and beauty of this chair in my opinion. less
