The descriptive page inside identifies this as Genuine Thailand teak made for the Good Wood company of Julie Pomerantz, Inc. The year given is 1973, though that may simply be the year they produced the advertisement. The ad will be sent along with the set, because I think it's cool. If I was using this mint condition, tags still attached incredibly well grained salad set for décor- or just leaving it out the whole time- I would be matting and framing this page and hanging it nearby. I can't tell you what to do with it though.
I'm going to send you to look at the incredible pictures. That rich, deep nearly mahogany red color is the result of 3 drenchings of mineral oil and 4 or 5 buffings. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. Mineral oil seals wood just as well if not better than polyurethane. It would respond well to a rub of mineral oil once or twice a year. If it starts to look ashy, give it oil. Care is simple soap and water, quick rinse, never soak.
