Mid 20th Century "Trio of Singers" Expressionist Figurative Original Oil Painting on Wooden Panel

They are both signed by what I believe is P. Rodriguez and they are both heavily painted on thin wooden wall paneling, reminiscent of Cuban arts in the 1960's. It depicts a combination of a man and two women that I imagine as singers. This painting was originally in a frame that was heavily stained from tobacco use - I removed the frame and the edges of the painting went with it. There is not any stain or smell to the paneling itself so I discarded the frame. This painting is so soulful and mesmerizing, definitely a conversation piece. I purchased from the estate of a world traveler and hunting guide in Africa (in the 1930's). His wife was an art collector and she had an extensive collection - this one and piece 1 of 2 were my favorites. less
