In the 45 years I have owned it, it has never been polished. The marble top has two chips on the edge, as shown in the photos. When taking the photos I noticed that one leg is slightly pulled away from the base, as shown in the photos. I would say that the table is in very good to excellent vintage condition. less

- This unique round marble top table has four nicely styled metal legs that appear to be brass. A kitchen magnet … more This unique round marble top table has four nicely styled metal legs that appear to be brass. A kitchen magnet does not stick to the ornate legs or the center finial, but does stick to the center round part, so that part may be plated. The 3/4 inch thick marble top is a creamy color with some taupe and gray swirls, and has the look of a Carrara or Calacatta marble. The marble top is loose, not attached to the table base. It sits on top of a pressed wood type of round base that is attached to the metal base as shown in a photo. The table could easily settle into multiple places in your home, as a small dining table, a bedside table, a side table, an accent table, a center hall table. It would be lovely in a garden room or a conservatory. This was purchased at an auction in Oregon about 45 years ago and has an unknown provenance and age. I was told it might be English and that it might date from the late 19th or early 20th century. Whatever the origin, this distinctive table will be a very attractive multipurpose addition to your home. less
