This is an original magazine advertisement print for Christian Dior's after shave, Eau Sauvage. It dates to 1974. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the illustrator Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit which continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold color and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s products. Signed by Gruau (right side) with his recognizable “g” initial. This whimsical image will make you smile. Gruau's works are now highly desirable and collectible and have become more difficult to find in excellent condition. This print is 9 x 11.5 inches in size.
