I picked up this beauty during one of our trips to the Ozarks, circa 1990. It was handcrafted by a local basket artisan using an assorted selection of willow rod species which is what gives the basket its multi-dimensional spectrum of color, as seen in the photos. The rim is crafted from a twisted branch which becomes the handle, extraordinarily beautiful! Because of its handcrafted nature, it is not 100% symmetrical in shape. It measures 17” high (from top of handle); width 15”; depth 13”; interior 11½” x 8½” W/H; weight 1 lb. 12 oz.; colors are mixed hues of naturally aged willow; natural tree branch handle has a pale wash finish. No visible wear with a natural rustic look-and-feel. One of a kind and looking for a fabulous new home, yours perhaps?
