This mid-century ashtray is a beautiful little treasure that recalls a time when Hollywood was obsessed with poodles; from dying their fur purple and pink, embroidering them on skirts, sculpting them in blue porcelain and parading them down 5th Avenue with eccentric haircuts. One can imagine that the Zsa Zsa Gabor had one of these on her vanity.
The golden tone Poodle figure appears to be sitting up and holding the ashtray, the top edge frame of the ashtray is also gold tone and the top edge is accented with rhinestones, except for the area where there is a scrolled rest for the cigarette. The main part of the ashtray/dish is clear glass. The sitting poodle serves as the handle, and has a wonderful detail for such a small piece. Perfect for sweet treats or treasured jewels...

Measurements: 3.5" W x 3.5" D x 1.5" H - each.

Condition: This beautiful ashtray is in fantastic condition for the age; the gold tone still looks very good with no gaps or scrapes, all the rhinestones are present and the glass has no signs of chips or cracks, as shown in photos. Additional photos can be provided upon request.
