Monumental Italian Art Glass vase, one of a kind Work of Art by Davide Donà, signed piece in blown Murano glass. The aquamarine body tinted with blue reflections is skillfully embraced by overlaying turquoise sapphire blue sides and highlighted front and back with red, orange, and pale white murrine expanded like in a modern painting up to the neck. This piece is made precious by a Battuto hand-engraved technique that gives an exceptional decorative texture to this sculpture and by the addition of a sophisticated elongated neck. Mounted on a crystal clear Murano glass rectangular base bearing the signature.
Davide Dona is recognized for the rare ability to blow oversized pieces and for his maestria in different intricate decorations all applied on the same piece. Some of his works are displayed in the Glass Museum of Murano. less
