Presented framed in a quality gold gilt wood antique frame. Canvas measuring 16 x 20 overall framed size 21.5" W x 25.5" H x 2.5" D.
Krotter was a native of Budapest Hungary of Austrian decent born 1905. His family moved to Vienna in his early youth. There it was where his talent was discovered. He received his art education at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. After having been awarded a scholarship he could afford to undertake wide travels. He stayed a long time in Italy. When he returned his technique had matured and his versatility grown. His Italian Riviera scenes and rural Idyls paintings were quite popular. His Dutch Flower Markets are done in the finest detail and intriguing colors. They became very much in demand. He later returned to Vienna. less
