China trade brass bound black leather covered camphor wood trunk. The top and case are framed by brass corner mounts and brass tacking. Made in Canton China for the “Western Trade” circa 1820-50
Interior is solid wood with a removable top tray. There are no smells.
Condition: Excellent condition. Due to age the leather has beautiful patina. There are only two studs missing from the top, please see close ups- it is not noticeable. Some slight wear and cracking on the leather but in overall excellent condition for an item around 200 years old.
