With its beguiling beauty and rustic sensibility, this hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug is immersed in Anatolian history. The abrashed cut-out field features a concentric stepped medallion decorated with ambiguous tribal motifs. A rosette with a cross in the center graces each corner spandrel. It is enclosed with a serrated leafy meander border flanked with an inner carnation meander guard band. Rendered in variegated shades of light gray, beige, tan, brick red, rust, taupe, oyster gray, mushroom, brown, and red with other accent colors. Desirable Age Wear. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool.
