A very good looking … more I am delighted to offer for sale these lovely original Regency style giltwood faux bamboo chairs. A very good looking and collectable occasional chair. These are Edwardian, circa 1910. They have been re-gilded at some point and a needlepoint seat cover has been added although the cane is intact underneath. , the frame is fake bamboo. at the latter part of the 18th to the early part of the 19th century Chinese furniture started to be imported into England, their designs and styles were quickly adopted by our craftsman and mirrored, we were carving bamboo designs in pine and oak
