This hand knotted wool antique Chinese Art Deco rug features a subtle all-over botanical pattern spread across an indigo field enclosed by an ornate dragon border. The style displays a distinct European influence, while employing more traditional floral motifs with a Chinese sensibility. Lotuses, peonies, chrysanthemums, butterflies, and intricate floral motifs blossoming in a swirl of tantalizing vinery elegantly spread across the composition, creating a sense of splendor and vitality than cannot be contained.
