This is a wonderful piece. I have had one other work by Robert Alan Devoe in the past but it was just a simple print. This is a special large one of a kind work. For those not familiar with the artist I have included his biography below. This is a wonderful monoprint and collage on paper. Signed and dated 1985 lower right with the artist's Phoenix Art Press blindstamp just below it. Titled in the lower center and numbered 1/1 lower left, also in pencil. Image measures 20 x 24 inches and is in outstanding as created condition. Archival matte and framing in a large presentation with the frame measuring 34 1/2 x 46 1/2 inches. For those not familiar with the artist, his biography from a gallery that sells the artist's work reads: "Robert Alan Devoe was born 1928 in Elmira New York.Education: 1953 BFA Tyler Art School Philadelphia Pa. 1965 BFA Tyler Art School Philadelphia Pa. Teaching 1980-82 Dept.Head; modeling and enlarging Johnson Atelier of Sculpture Princeton N.J. 1964-65 Asst. Prof. Art Fairleigh Dickinson Univ. Teaneck N.J. 1964-65 Instructor of Design Philadelphia College of Art Phila. Pa. 1958-68 Intructor Art and Humanities University of Conn. Storrs Conn. 1955-58 Teacher of Art: K-12 Old Saybrook Schools Old Saybrook Conn. He has had numerous one-man shows plus numerous group shows and invitational exhibitions."
