19th century French Strasbourg faience floor candle holder in Rococo style. Extremely beautiful and elegant, the torchiere is decorated in a burgundy and gold pattern on a creamy white background. The faience is mounted on an elaborate three-sided ormolu base.
Condition is good. A fine hairline firing crack is hardly noticeable (see pic).
Bobeche and pricket are replaced.
