Early American document box as found. Lid opens to one concealment space. Below that is one shallow drawer and still below that is an additional drawer. Original color is a dark blueish green that shows in areas of wear and most predominately under the lid. The over all color is an attractive charcoal gray.
They is a skeleton lock but no key. Approximate age is mid 1800 maybe early.
There appears to be a number of initials carved under the lid. less
