A colour that links wood and sand, two very different raw materials, but also two scales of space that seem so far away. Sand, in fact, evokes landscapes, large areas, infinite deserts where only the wind plays the part of the builder, generating gigantic dunes and small waves that ripple the surface of the granular expanse. Wood, on the other hand, is a nearby, familiar material, used for furnishings and objects in our homes, in a limited space in which we never feel lost. So Dune plays with us and puts the sand in the plate, its changeability, the waves that draw it, the memory of its immensity dropped in a limited and functional space. Because the imagination has no unambiguous constraints or points of view. And dreaming of distant places, after all, is a luxury that costs nothing.

Clelia Valentino studied at the European Institute of Design in Milan, the city where she lives and works for about 3 years. She then graduated from the Abadir Academy of Catania and immediately started her personal project of product design in limited series 'Imperfetto Siciliano', working with artisans and companies of the Sicilian territory.
