A Servomuto (valet stand): never was a name more appropriate to define a function. In fact, it works to support clothes, to fold shirts and trousers, to prepare the evening before what will be worn the next morning, even small accessories or jewellery that complete the outfit. However, Solista is a Servomuto that has detached from the choir. He realized that he had his own personality and could sing his own solo. He realized that he was not invisible and servile, but also beautiful and worthy of admiration when undressed. And then - like any good soloist - he knows how to return to the choir of the domestic landscape and make his silent contribution.
Giuseppe Arezzi was born in Ragusa in 1993. In 2016 he graduated from the Milan Polytechnic, Faculty of Design, during his Master's Degree in Interior Design. During the Polytechnic years, he studied - among others - with Andrea Branzi and Michele De Lucchi. The focus of his work is research on anthropology and cultural traditions. In 2016, with the project 'Protoplast', he was one of the designers under 35 selected by the Triennale di Milano for the exhibition 'New Craft', on the occasion of the XXI Triennale. In 2017, with the project 'Beata Solitudo' he exhibited as part of the project 'Una Stanza tutto per sé' (A room all for himself) curated by Domitilla Dardi for Cantiere Galli Design, in Rome. He currently lives and works in Milan. Stamped by Maker,Stamped by Maker less
