Elegant early Biedermeier or late Empire Armoire from South Germany around 1815/1820.
Wonderful book-matched walnut veneer, french polished with shellac, 2 doors with 1 drawer.
Ebonized half-columns with gold-plated corinthian capitals and bases. gold-plate renewed in the restoration.
Original lock and very fine old key. Ivory inlays around the key holes.
Inside shelves with 3 plates covered in black cotton fabric.
Restored condition.
