The project aims to create objects … more The TAKE carafe, designed in 2014, is a decorative piece, with function as a driving principle. The project aims to create objects to be used, objects in which the aesthetic value does not exceed the function, but on the contrary, it helps and supports it. The rings that mark the body of the carafe and that at first glance may seem like mere decorations are also instruments for measuring the liquid content and at the same time help to keep the grip firm. The first ring indicates 25 cl, the second 50 cl, and the last ring 75 cl, or the equivalent of a common bottle of wine. 
It is handmade by a master glassmaker who first warms the glass body and then slides it down, creating with precision the real ribs on the surface of the cylinder. The TAKE carafe takes on the form of the trunk of bamboo and it is in pursuit of this aesthetic that the cutting of the spout was designed in the way it was, referring to Japanese fountains with tilting bamboo arms. This arm falls rhythmically under the weight of the water travelling through it which, falling, beats on stone creating a characteristic sound that has the function of deterring crows.
