This trio of objects was designed in 2017 and represents the stripping process used in the processing of marble and stones in general. It happens in three phases. Step 1: slicing the stone, just like one does with bread on the cutting board. Phase 2: the makers proceed to the first rough removal of material, called 'scapezzatura'. Phase 3: the finishing and final sanding that makes the stone smooth and refined.
this set is made of trani marble and has been realized together with the marble workers ldt marmi from the magliana district of rome. In rome, mimmo and his associates manage the production of artifacts made from 40-year-old marble. The manual skills and the knowledge of the processed materials are their strong point.
